Faculty Regalia RSVP Form
This spring, Rensselaer's 208th Commencement Ceremony will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2014, at 8:30 a.m. at the East Campus Athletic Village Stadium.
We ask that you please fill out the following form even if you do not need University Events to rent regalia for you. Please submit this form NO LATER than March 28, 2014. Please note that required fields are indicated by an asterisk (*)
You may use your own academic regalia, or the Office of University Events will order it for you free of charge. Regalia is obtained from an outside company; thus the deadline to place an order is March 28, 2014. However, you will be charged for regalia if ordered after March 28, 2014.
Rental regalia will be available for pickup on Commencement day in the robing room in the East Campus Athletic Village, Room 2137 - Men’s Varsity Football Locker Room starting at 6:30 a.m.
PhD Hooding Exercise
Ph.D. hood exercise will take place at a breakfast on Commencement morning at 7:30 a.m. in the East Campus practice arena.
If you have a Ph.D. student who is graduating this year and you plan to hood them at the breakfast, you will need regalia. Please indicate below if you plan to attend the hooding exercise. Rental regalia will be available for you starting at 6:30 a.m.
Commencement ceremony will start promptly at 8:30 a.m. All faculty who plan to attend the ceremony will need to have regalia. The ceremony will last approximately 3 hours. Please indicate below if you plan to attend the commencement ceremony.
Parking will be available in the Parking Garage or North Lot with shuttle service to and from the East Campus Athletic Village. Shuttle service will begin at 6 a.m.
The President's Picnic for Graduates
Immediately following the Commencement ceremony, there will be a campus-wide picnic for graduates, their guests, and the campus community. You are invited to join in the celebration.
